Tips for parents

• Play “I spy” with Portuguese color words on walks and in the supermarket.
• Sort crayons, socks or building blocks by color while the song plays, naming each pile in Portuguese.
• Ask “what color is it?” about things your child already loves; the answer is more fun when it's about their favourite toy.

Questions parents ask

Which colors do the songs teach in Portuguese?

The core colors children use daily: red, blue, yellow, green and friends, sung in different settings (a rainbow, fruit, the sky) so the words show up in context.
