Tips for parents
- Count real things while the song plays: stairs, grapes, toy cars. Touch each one as the Portuguese number is sung.
- Hold up fingers for each number. Fingers are a counting aid kids carry everywhere, so the Portuguese numbers travel with them.
- Once the numbers feel easy, stop the song mid-count and let your child sing the next number on their own.
