Language songs that run your circle time for you
Original bilingual songs in Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch, with every line translated on screen, plus free printable lyric sheets and word cards for your class.
In the classroom
Four ways to use the songs in class
Short, repeatable routines work better than long lessons. A song takes two or three minutes.
Circle time
Open every morning with the same hello song from Unit 1 and close the day with the goodbye song. The repetition is the point: after a week, the class sings the answers before you do.
Transitions
Use one short song as a signal: lining up, tidying up, coming back to the rug. Kids learn the cue and the words at the same time. Movement songs from the actions unit work well here.
Vocabulary routines
Pick the key words of the song of the week and put the word cards on the board. Point to a card when its word comes up in the song, then play memory with the matching English cards.
Call and response
Split the class in two: one half sings the English line, the other answers in the new language. Then swap. The songs are written in exactly this pattern.
A simple weekly routine
One song a week, five minutes a day
Works the same for a preschool class or a homeschool morning. Most of the 32 units have four to six songs, so one unit fills about a month of mornings.
- 1
Monday
Listen to the song of the week twice. No pressure to sing, just enjoy it.
- 2
Tuesday
Hand out the lyric sheet. Follow along and point to each line as it is sung.
- 3
Wednesday
Introduce the word cards. Say each word, then find it in the song.
- 4
Thursday
Memory game in pairs: match each word card with its English card.
- 5
Friday
Sing it without the sheet. Call and response, then let volunteers lead.

Questions?
Teacher FAQ
Do I need to speak the language to teach with these songs?
No. Every song shows each sung line with its English meaning, and the songs move between English and the target language in a call-and-response pattern, so you can learn alongside your class. The lyric sheets give you the same text on paper.
What ages and grades is it for?
The songs are written for children roughly 2 to 8, so preschool, pre-K, kindergarten and the first school years. Younger groups sing and move along; children who read can follow the lyric sheets.
What is free for teachers?
All printables (lyric sheets, word cards and unit bundles in every language) are free to download and print for your class, with no sign-up. The first unit of songs (6 songs) is free to listen to with a free account, in every language.
Do you offer classroom or school plans?
The standard plans are made for families. If you want to use the songs with a class, a whole school or a homeschool co-op, email us at office@nordruhe.de and tell us how many children and teachers you have. We will get back to you about a classroom or school plan.
Who makes the songs?
They are original songs written around a vocabulary curriculum and produced with AI music tools. They are not covers of traditional songs, and every line is shown with its translation.
Are there ads or anything I need to screen first?
No ads, no autoplay into other videos and no algorithm. The app only plays our own songs, so nothing unexpected pops up on the classroom screen.
Which languages are available?
Spanish, French, German, Italian, European Portuguese and Dutch. Each language has the same 134 songs in 32 themed units, so a multilingual class can follow the same plan in different languages.
